Fractional resurfacing using HALO is different than other treatment options because it is customized to meet your needs. The machine targets the right skin depth to give you the results you want, quickly and with little downtime. In fact, most people can start wearing makeup again just 24 hours after their treatment.
So, how does fractional resurfacing work?
- About 30 minutes to an hour before your appointment, a clinician will apply a topical anesthetic. This will reduce any discomfort you may feel during the actual treatment.
- Once the anesthetic has had time to work, the area that is being treated will be measured using motion tracking technology. This ensures even treatment of the full area.
- Your clinician will treat each section using the Halo hand piece.
- Once the system recognizes the treatment is complete, you’re done!
The results
Though you’ll be anxious to see results, it will take between two and five days after your fractional resurfacing treatment to see. But, your skin will also continue to improve over time and you’ll continue to see results for weeks or months, depending on how deep they went for your treatment.
Aftercare
Taking care of your skin after fractional resurfacing, and going forward, will be important in maintaining results. Make sure you protect your skin from the sun all the time, but especially within the first 24 hours after your treatment. Your dermatologist can help you choose the right sun protectant, whether it be a line they carry like ISBIN or something else.
