Total prep and procedure time is about two hours. Patients must see a board-certified dermatologist, cosmetic surgeon, or operating surgeon for this procedure. In some states, an aesthetician may additionally be able to perform the procedure and be supervised by a physician.
A patient may need a minimum of four procedures or more to get the results.
How effective is microneedling?
