Dermatologists have seen Charlotte patients regret getting their tattoos. Through different treatment methods, these tattoos can be safely removed. It is totally understandable to make a bad decision on getting a tattoo and then regretting it later. You don’t have to live with this mistake for the rest of your life. We’re here to fix it for you so that you can completely forget that you even got it in the first place. It will only be remembered as a bad dream once it’s removed. There are a couple of different methods available for tattoo removal but the most common one is laser removal. It can slightly sting some patients but a numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce the effect as much as possible. There may be scarring for up to a couple of months post-treatment but it should go away as well.
Drunken weekend
We had a teen come into our clinic quite shy and confused and asked if she could get a consult. She proceeded to explain how she had a drunken weekend with friends and ended up getting a tattoo which she really regretted. She asked if there was a possibility to get the tattoo removed as soon as possible. Upon examination, the tattoo was found to be quite small and in an easy location where removal would go smoothly. She was then told that the tattoo would be removed through laser treatment which she was okay with. The procedure went smoothly and just as planned, the whole tattoo was successfully removed. She was informed that the area would leave scarring for a couple of months before it is fully healed. She was extremely grateful that we could do this for her.
Tattoo queen
We had an older woman come in who had quite a significant amount of tattoos. She wanted to know if there was a possibility to remove a few of them as she grew tired of them and they were taking up a lot of space. Upon examining the tattoos she was talking about, we saw that most of them were easy removals through laser but that some may require surgical excision to remove them. She was not comfortable with the idea of tattoo removal through surgery so we stuck to the laser regimen for her. Luckily, we managed to properly remove all the tattoos that were bothering her and she was really happy with the results.
